My thoughts....... On the day of 9-11 I was driving with my boss from Tucson, Az. to Denver to do a fossil trade show we do each year there. He had gotten a call from a friend in NY who had told us of what had happened. We have a mutual friend that had a office in one of the towers but he had not gotten to work yet that day before it happened (we found out later). For the remaining hours it took us to get to Denver I remember I was dumb struck.....we didn't talk that much and I guess we were both in our own thoughts about what had taken place. When we walked into the show hall (hotel had set up a TV) my first sight of this terrible act was the footage of the plane going into the building. I guess I'm like a lot of other Americans since my first reactions were: shock, fear, sadness, anxiety and then anger..... I asked myself "why" and for all most 5 years didn't really know the answer to that question. After 9-11 I went back to my daily routine of just trying to get through the day...week...year...surviving in general but never forgetting about what had happened. I think a lot of people had this same way of thinking....not forgetting the terrible thing that happened....just getting back to their daily grind. So I guess as we approach 9/11/06 we should all ask ourselves the question again "why". I for one have taken my head from out of the sand and I know "why" this terrible thing happened....9-11 and the war.
